Knowing and Understanding The Signs of Pregnancy

The early warning symptom of pregnancy will be different with different women but an unusual period or one missed altogether is something every woman recognizes. For some women, the symptoms of pregnancy begin as early as the same week of being impregnated. After the woman is impregnated the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall within the first six to twelve days. Some women will have some spotting and a little cramping when this happens. A test for pregnancy is necessary for the women who experiences an unusual period or one that is missed. The next period should be missed after a women has been impregnated. If the woman continues to have a period during the pregnancy, it will be very different than she normally has as it will be much lighter and not for very long.

Around one or two weeks after becoming pregnant the woman’s breasts will be swollen and tender. The areolas may get darker in some women. The first week the woman will begin to feel more tired than usual. You should always contact your doctor when having any first trimester pregnancy.

Morning sickness is probably one of the most common symptoms and may continue during the whole pregnancy. Although not every pregnant woman will have nausea the normal duration will be between 2 to 8 weeks. Another common sign of early pregnancy is lower back pain and this may be a condition that persists as a muted pain. The hormones will be changing in the early stages that may cause head ache pain.

Within the first six weeks of becoming pregnant, frequent urination is a common symptom. Another common sign is food cravings. They may not be the desire to eat ice cream and pickles but still certain foods become a craving throughout most of the pregnancy in most women. The bottom line is if you think you may be pregnant there are many choices for home pregnancy tests and a visit to your health care professional is then your first step for the safety of yourself and your baby..
