Tips to Consider When You Start A Web Site

Website design is also becoming more targeted. It is not unusual for us to have one web design targeted at one audience for one service and another for a different service. Websites are judged by content and layout. How good your content maybe, if your layout is not appealing, visitors will not be eager to come back. Website design is a way of representing your business on the internet. It creates an image of your company whereby people decide whether it is worth doing business with you or not.

Websites are never totally finished. There is always updating that needs to be done and fine tuning to get the best search engine listings. Websites become available online once they are supported by a host, so you must get yourself a reliable hosting package to ensure regular uptime and availability across the Internet.

Hosting providers sometimes offer free domains to their clients. Such domains are often registered not to you, but to the hosting company. Host an alternative after party to an industry convention. If the group is small enough you can host it in your home or hotel room.

Design Your Website – If you have no experience or limited experience designing a website you can choose from thousands of professionally designed templates for as low as $20. Just browse through until you find a template you like.

Search engine promotion does not start after the web site is made. It starts at the web design stage. SearchEstate.com offers free listings and provides an affiliate member program. It is well worth a look.

Create a subdomain and host all your static components there. Create a new document in Notepad or any other plain text editor. Copy the code that was mentioned in the article above, and save it. Creating strong content for your site demands attention and time as this is what your potential clients will be reading. Not only will your potential clients be reading your site content for relevant information, but search engine spiders will read your content to determine how your site should be indexed and where it will rank in keyword searches.

Avoid doing a Joint Venture with ANYONE who contacts you via email, unless you know them or can check them out. If in doubt leave it! Avoid long domain names if possible, which detracts from the professionalism of your business. Avoid using scripting languages on your site unless it is absolutely necessary. Use scripting languages to handle or manipulate data, not to create visual effects on your website.

Offer your visitors fresh content and you will keep your site on their radar. Offer your advice freely to these people. This will help to brand you and your company as an expert.

Multi Level Marketing Basics – The MLM Business Model

MLM, or Multi Level Marketing, when combined with the Internet, creates a powerful formula for creating a successful home business and achieving financial freedom.

This business model is used by hundreds of companies to move their goods and services to the end consumer.  In this article, my goal is to provide you with information on what this industry is and what it is not.

You can only make an informed educated decision as to whether or not this business concept if right for you if you have the required information upon which to make that decision.  I hope to provide some of that information in this article.

Multi Level Marketing is simply a business model for moving products and services from production to the consumer using independent distributors with a multi level commission payout plan.  Since distributors can recruit other distributors and establish teams that work together, this business model is often also called Network Marketing.

There are many myths about MLM companies, including that they are illegal pyramid schemes or scams.  For true Multi Level Marketing companies, nothing could be further from the truth.  Unfortunately, those who believe these myths, simply do not understand how MLM companies work.

The first thing that you need to know is that MLM is not illegal and it is not a pyramid scheme.  While the organizational structure resembles a pyramid in shape, this is true of almost all businesses.  There are far more workers in the lower ranks of any business then at the top, if not, the business would collapse.  Not everyone in the company can be CEO or Vice President.  If fact, Multi Level Marketing companies are one hundred percent legal and many multi-million dollar companies use this business model to market their products.

Some well known Multi Level Marketing companies include Herbalife, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Shaklee, Amway, Tupperware, Princess house (a subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive), A. L. Williams (Insurance), Melaleuca, U.S. Sprint, MCI, and NSA.  Companies such as these have been around for decades.

There are hundreds more MLM companies and just like other companies, some are good and some are not so good.  But MLM is certainly here to stay and it is an explosive growth field!  In fact, increasingly you will find more and more Fortune 500 companies employing the Network Marketing business model for some portion of their marketing portfolio!

So why are MLM companies and programs becoming so popular?  Well, the business model offers a wonderful opportunity for the “little guy” to start his own business on a part time basis with very little investment money upfront, but with a large income potential if she or he is willing to put in some work!  Contrary to what some people would want you to believe, MLM is certainly not a get rich quick scheme and requires effort to grow your business.

John Paul Getty is often quoted as having said that he would always prefer earning 1% of a hundred peoples efforts than 100% of his own efforts.  And that is precisely what Multi Level Marketing is all about.  The Multi Level Marketing sales force members are not actually employees of the company, but instead they are independent distributors who are compensated for their efforts by commission based on the amount of product moved by not only themselves, but also by those whom they recruit as distributors.

As each distributor recruits others to become distributors, they create what is known as a downline and in addition to their own retail sales commissions, they earn a wholesale commission on the amount of products their downline distributors move to consumers.  This process goes on for some designated number of levels and is where the term “multi level” originates.

The more people a distributor can recruit for his downline, the larger will be their total commissions.  The number of levels that a distributor will earn override commissions on will depend upon the company’s compensation plan but five to seven or more levels is not unusual.  These wholesale override commissions can quickly add up for distributors with a large downline.

A strong incentive is thus created not only for a distributor to recruit more distributors for their downline, but also to train them to move products as well.  Thus a successful distributor will want to duplicate their success by teaching their downline members how to be successful.  By making their downline members successful, they make themselves more successful.

Building large stable residual income is therefore the result of successfully recruiting, training, and retaining others.  The better one is at doing these things, the larger their income will become.  While it is not necessarily easy, it can be very rewarding.

Want to be your own boss?  Millions of people are earning a solid income using this business model working from home.   A telephone, basic computer, fax machine, a HUGE ambition, and the knowledge of how to proceed to grow your business are all it really takes!  Are you ready to explore the opportunities that Multi Level Marketing offers?

If so, did you know that sponsoring people into your MLM opportunity is completely irrelevant to making money in network marketing? (And no, I’m not talking about retailing your company’s products). Find out how you can get people to PAY YOU to prospect them… rather than you having to pay for your prospects. Click here to learn more at => The Renegade Network Marketer

The Glorious Republic of Mauritius

Part of the Mascarene Islands, the Republic of Mauritius is off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean, 900 km (560 mi) east of Madagascar. The republic consists of five islands: St Brandon, Rodrigues, two Agalegas Islands and Mauritius itself.

The latter was originally uninhabited, but the Dutch named the island and established a colony that was seized by the French in 1715. They renamed the place Ile de France and built a prosperous economy based on sugar. But the British took the island in 1810 and it reverted to the original name.

Independence was granted in 1968 and this Commonwealth country is a stable democracy with one of Africa’s highest per capita incomes. This might be guessed by a visitor to Port Louis, who finds a sophisticated place with a cluster of high and medium rise buildings that might be mistaken from afar as the downtown area of a small American city, were it not for its location beside the azure Indian Ocean, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.

Tourism has become an increasingly important sector of the economy, which had hitherto been based on sugar plantations and off-shore financial services.

The effort to attract visitors is proving successful, and might not even need the boost of a move to duty-free status. Mauritius is the most accessible island in the Indian Ocean, with wonderful beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Important though these essential ingredients of every tropical holiday destination may be, Mauritius has something extra, friendly people and a vibrant cultural mix that will leave an indelible impression.

There is a festival or fiesta practically every week and a tempting variety of ethnic food choices. The place must be good. Author Mark Twain remarked that Mauritius was made before heaven, and heaven modeled on Mauritius.

Do Your Feet Hurt?

Make sure you and your children have the right kind of shoe that will support running, walking, and your weight.

Most people suffer from some kind of foot pain throughout the day.  There are many treatments and tips to get rid of serious foot pain relief if you follow expert advice.

Are your feet in agony?  From poor fitting shoes, to inherited toe woes, foot pain is no laughing matter.  We rarely take care of our feet until the pain has become so severe we can’t ignore it any longer.

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, 84% of women have suffered from at least one painful foot problem.

Do you purchase shoes because they’re cute or fashionable?  You wouldn’t think about putting shoes that hurt on your child’s foot!  Don’t do it on yours, either!

Here are six of the most common ailments women experience and smart tips to help alleviate their foot pain.  Take this advice and you’ll soon feel  as though you’re walking on air!

How To Put Your Best Foot Forward:

Disclaimer:  These foot ailments are the most common, but for serious foot pain, please consult your podiatrist or a podiatric surgeon.

1.       Do you have Plantar Fascitis?  This feels like a sharp stabbing pain in your heel and it is worse when you get up in the morning.

·         Cause – The plantar fascia is a that thick band of tissue running along the bottom of the foot from heel to toe and people with all types of insteps (arches)  are prone to this irritation.  If you wear very flat or really high heels, the problem will get worse.

·         A shoe should support the arch.  If not, the fascia will stretch and that will cause further inflammation.  Does your Achilles tendon feel tight?  That is also one of the symptoms.

·         Treatment – Choose shoes with some structure.  Pairs of shoes that have some arch support and enclose your heel will be much better than flip flops or flats.  Avoid going barefoot as much as possible.

·         Stretch Your Foot In the Mornings – When you sleep, your plantar fascia is relaxed.  It gets a real wake-up call of tension when your first put your weight on it.  Before beginning your busy day, wrap a towel around your feet and pull the toes back, gently  stretching the tendons.

·         Reduce Swelling – Using a plastic bottle filled with water, freeze it, and then roll it under your foot for a few minutes to relieve the pain.

·         Consult a podiatrist for custom orthotics – I know you may not think it makes a difference, but these special inserts are molded specifically to your foot’s shape!  This will help control foot motion and decrease the daily strain on the plantar fasciae when added to the inside of your shoe.

2.       Ingrown Toenails?  This feels like a throbbing sensation and is most often located on the side of one of your big toes.  Is it swollen and red?

·         Cause – When the nail edge grows sideways into the skin of the toe, it forms a toenail that is growing inward instead of straight outward.  The pressure on the nail bites into the surrounding skin and can really cause some pain or infection.  If your shoes are too tight or narrow around the toe area, you are at risk for getting an ingrown toenail. If you cut your toenails incorrectly, you could also get an ingrown toenail.

·         Treatment – Don’t wear pointy toed shoes.  If you’re going to be walking a lot, carry your dress shoes and walk in structured walking shoes.

·         Use moisture cream on your feet daily – Reduce callus formation by keeping feet well rubbed and moisturized.  Before wearing shoes, make sure the lotions and creams are absorbed and your feet are dry.  When a callus develops, it causes more pressure on the ingrown nail or other parts of your foot.

·         Cut toenails strait across.  Don’t file the corners down.  If you get pedicures, make sure they follow these procedures, don’t assume they will or know what they’re doing.  Choose a reputable salon or go to a podiatrist.

·         See a podiatrist if you think you have an infection!  Don’t delay!  No “self-surgery” as digging around on your toenails or skin can lead to serious infection and deeper injury to the nail or foot.

3.       Bursitis – This feels like a painful bump and is located on the back of the heel.

·         Cause – This can occur when you have an enlarged heel bone.  If you wear stiff-backed shoes, this can worsen the bump further, inflaming the bursa, which is a protective sac of fluid.

·         Treatment – Wear shoes with open backs, until the irritation has lessened, or all the time, whichever is necessary.

·         Use Dr. Scholl’s Foam Cushions (donut shaped pad) – Place this pad over the bump to alleviate pressure and use ice at the end of the day to soothe the inflammation.

·         Consult a Podiatrist – If you have chronic and constant pain in this area of the foot, consult a podiatrist for advice and possible removal of the bump.

4.       Stress Fracture? This feels like a tender area, frequently on the front part of the foot, along the 2nd or 3rd metatarsal, the long bones in the top middle of the foot.

·         Cause – Any repetitive stress on the bone, like walking and running on hard surfaces and while wearing shoes that are not absorbing enough of the shock.

·         Treatment – See a doctor!  You will need a surgical shoe while you heal.  That shoe has a hard bottom that will keep the affected bones from bending.

·         Be Patient – Stress fractures heal in about 4 – 8 weeks, normally.  Don’t over stress the foot, no running or long walks.

·         Prevent re-injuries – Keep your weight at a healthy level and wear supportive shoes.

5.       Bunions – These are sensitive and protruding lumps or bumps at the heads of the big-toe joints and can pull your toe to an angle.

·         Cause – These might be hereditary, and can be developed if you have low arches, or your feet tend to roll inward.  Your bone actually moves as the bump seems to get larger.

·           Pointy toed shoes can make the bunions worsen.

·         Treatment – Shoe choice is critical.  Best choices are shoes with a wide toe area and a lower heel but not flat.

·         Gel Pads – Placing a gel pad over the bunions to cushion them and reduce the pain is helpful.

6.       Neuroma – This is a shooting pain in the ball of the foot.

·         Cause – This pain is caused by pressure on the nerve in the underside of the foot.  Swelling can occur.  Narrow, pointed shoes put more pressure on an already irritated nerve so pick shoes with wider toe room.

·         Treatment – Wide toe areas, and low heels.

·         Use anti-inflammatories.  Ibuprofen is good but if you don’t experience relief see a podiatrist.

·         Surgery – For chronic neuroma that doesn’t get better, surgery such as cryotreatment can help .  Your podiatrist can make that determination.

Take care of your feet, they need to carry you through the rest of your life!

Is SEO dead?

I was reading a thread at a big webmaster forum yesterday which made the claim that “SEO is dead.” Now, it’s hard to say whether or not the original poster was being serious or sarcastic, but he referenced some other news he’d been reading on a few authority sites that made the “dead” claim.

The notion was that, because of the prevalence of Web 2.0 community sites, the idea of needing to optimize for any of the engines was going away — and fast. The idea was also put forth by another poster that, because of the huge number of content management systems that are already setup to be “search engine friendly”, the need to have any additional knowledge to rank well was quickly diminishing.

My answer to all this? Poppycock.

First, while it is true that there are many CMS programs that are search engine friendly out of the box, on-page factors matter so little to ranking (at least in Google) that even if the on-page playing field was leveled, it would make little difference in the current search engine results.

Second, SEO is about far more than just what’s on the page. The way you analyze what keywords are worth optimizing for, the way you write the content around those keywords, and the links you get to the pages that you want to rank for those keywords all have a large role to play in how much traffic you get from the search engines — and that analysis takes specialized knowledge. Anyone can learn to do it, but it does have to be learned.

Third, and most importantly, Web 2.0 is nice, and sites that revolve around that kind of community are huge traffic mongers (e.g. YouTube), but there will always be a need for full-text indexing of the web.

So is SEO dead? Nope. It’s alive and well, and will be for as long as people need to search for information on the web.

A Comprehensive Guide to Balloons

Introduction

When you think of the word ‘Balloons’ what images appear in your mind? Is it simple balloons you blow up for children’s parties, or balloons that fly off on their own, or the special balloons for key events like the ones produced for the wedding of Charles and Diana? There are now so many different types of balloons on the market that you can get almost anything for everything any event you like.

So what exactly is a balloon? One definition defines a balloon as a flexible bag which you fill with air or some other type of gas, such as helium or hydrogen. The early balloons would have been made with non stretch material but modern balloons are made with latex so they have great elasticity and can be pumped up to much larger sizes.

History of Balloons

The earliest known balloons were made in Central and Southern America by the Aztec Indians. They were made out of the bowels of cats which were carefully cleaned then turned inside out. They were sewn with special vegetable thread that had the property of sticking to itself when dried in the sun and creating an almost airtight seal. The balloons were then made into air filled model animals and burned at the top of the Aztec pyramid as an offering to the sun god. (The first example of balloon modelling). A Portuguese priest, Bartolomeu de Gusmao, held the first public exhibition of a balloon in the Portuguese Court in Lisbon in 1709 which was probably made from an animal bladder that stretched when filled with air. The rubber balloon was invented in 1824 by a Michael Faraday and was filled with hydrogen to be used in his experiments with hydrogen. But the familiar latex balloon did not appear until 1847.

The early rubber balloons were sold in America in Parks and Circuses for a penny each. Although the latex balloon was manufactured in London in the mid 1800′s the mass production of them did not appear until much later in 1931.

As technology has become more advanced so has the world of balloons. Now balloons can be made from rubber, latex, polychloroprene or nylon. They can be filled with air, helium, hydrogen or water. Filling the balloon with air can be done with the mouth, a manual pump(such as a hand pump), or electric inflator or with compressed gas. The balloons are used for many differing purposes, and decorated in numerous ways to fit the event.

Some balloons are purely for decoration, others are ideal for specialist purposes because of their low density and relatively low cost. The balloon’s properties have led to them being used in a wide range of other applications in the areas of meteorology, military defense, medical treatment, and transportation.

Types of Balloons

Party Balloons

The most common and familiar types of balloons are the party balloons. These are usually bought in small packets and blown up with a pump, some advertising balloons are used to create a festive scene for children’s parties and other kinds of celebratory events where they can make all the difference.

These days I often see a cluster of balloons at the entrance to a house or hall to indicate where the party is being held. The balloons come in many different sizes and colours and can have printing on the face which expands as the balloon is inflated. Party Balloons are mostly made of natural latex tapped from rubber trees. The rubber’s elasticity makes the size variable. Balloons filled with air usually hold their size and shape much longer.

Helium Balloons

Balloons which float upwards are filled with the gas helium which is lighter than air. So for an event where balloons are let off into the atmosphere, they will need to be helium balloons. Helium filled rubber balloons normally only retain their buoyancy for a few days. The enclosed helium atoms are smaller than the pores in the latex through which they escape. To increase the float time of a helium balloon for a week or more, the inside of the balloons can be coated with a special polymer solution to reduce the leakage of the helium.

Water Balloons

The water balloons are often smaller than regular balloons and made from thin rubber so that they can be easily broken. They are filled with water and are intended for children to throw at each other as a game or practical joke with the aim of getting each other drenched. They may also be used in competitions or games.

Foil Balloons

In the late 1970s along came the foil balloon. These are made of thin non-stretch metalized plastic film or mylar. They are much more expensive and made an appearance at the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana causing quite a stir. These balloons have attractive shiny reflective surfaces and can be printed with color pictures, logos and patterns to customize them. The most important characteristic of metalized nylon for balloons is its ability to keep the helium gas from escaping for several weeks because it is less permeable. Foil balloons then have the advantage of being light weight, longer-lasting, with increased buoyancy. They are perfect for parties, in-store decorations, special celebrations and for gifts.

Animal-Shaped Balloons

Metalized nylon balloons can be cut into the three dimensional shapes of animals and then printed to represent the chosen animal. Once inflated the balloons make very bright, decorative items for gifts or may be used as a theme for a special event. Screen printing is used to create the designs for these spectacular pieces.

Balloon Modelling and Balloons in Art

Balloon modelling is a popular entertainment for children and adults alike. A Balloon artist twists and ties inflated tubular balloons into shapes resembling animals or even people. Sometimes they are called balloon sculptures, not to be confused with those cited below. When I have watched these artists at work I have often wondered why the balloons don’t burst when they are working.

Balloon sculpting requires a much stronger type of Latex which is extra-stretchy to enable it to be tied and turned without bursting. Using Mylar balloons or foil balloons provides an alternative to these tubular balloons which because they are so tiny require a pump to start the inflation.

Balloon Sculptures

Professional party decorators may use hundreds of helium balloons to create balloon sculptures. These sculptures are often constrained because of the round shape of the balloons to simple arches or walls but on occasion more ambitious “sculptures” have been attempted. Sometimes balloons are used as table decorations for special events which will have 3 or 5 balloons to each bouquet. The decoration will usually include curled ribbon with an added weight to stop the balloons from floating away.

Professional balloon party decorators use electronic equipment to enable the exact amount of helium to fill the balloon. For non-floating balloons air inflators are used. Professional quality balloons differ from most retail packet balloons as they are bigger in size and made from 100% biodegradable latex.

Balloon Drops

I am sure you will have been to a party or dance where at the end of the evening hundreds of balloons fall from the ceiling to mingle amongst the participants. This is known as a balloon drop and is often performed at New Year’s Eve celebrations or at political rallies and conventions. It is a relatively low cost way of making a festive atmosphere at the party climax, so everyone goes away feeling they have had a really good time.

If you want to create a balloon drop for your own event you will need to set up a large plastic bag or net overhead, which is suspended at a certain height. This is then filled with air-inflated balloons so that they will fall onto the target area below when the balloons are released. You will also need to develop a mechanism for releasing the balloons. Balloon drops may also be performed at many celebrations, including graduations and weddings.

Balloon Rockets

As a child I am sure you played the game of blowing up a balloon then letting it go while watching it speed around the room making a rude noise with everyone falling about laughing. These are called balloon rockets and I remember being enthralled and wondering how they worked. When the mouth of the balloon is released, the greater pressure of air inside forces its way out and the elasticity of the balloon contracts causing the balloon to be propelled forward. This is fundamentally how a rocket works. The balloon can also be filled with gases other than air, with similar results. Besides being simple toys, balloon rockets are a widely used teaching device to demonstrate physical principles and the functioning of a rocket. The balloon rocket is frequently used to demonstrate Newton’s third law in physics.

Balloon Publicity

To raise awareness at a major publicity event your company logo or message is printed onto the balloons at releases or balloon races. Companies specialising in UK balloon delivery can be contacted for large quantities of racing balloons.

Balloon Releases

In Australia they had a fund raising event on 18th April for Make-A-Wish Day. The 5,000 released balloons make a stunning sight as they rise across the bay marking the number of wishes granted since 1985.

If you are planning a balloon release or race of more than 5,000 balloons, it is a requirement that you apply in writing for permission to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at least 28 days in advance. The CAA also like to be informed of balloon releases up to 5,000. A form can be obtained by calling either the NABAS office on 01989 762 204 or the Airspace Utilisation Section of the CAA on 020 7453 6599

Because of concerns about the effect on the environment of large numbers of balloons being released, the NABAS – The Balloon Association have produced a code of conduct which can be found on their website at www.nabas.co.uk

Safety and Environmental Concerns

Balloons are made of natural rubber latex (NRL) which is a natural product coming from rubber trees that are grown in certain areas of the tropics. These are not trees that are cut down to produce the NRL. The NRL is obtained by tapping from mature trees and is a sustainable crop providing employment for many agricultural workers in some of the poorest areas of the world.

As a consequence of NRL cultivation and the consumption of latex products, the planting and maintenance of rubber tree plantations helps towards the prevention of tropical rainforest deforestation. This contributes significantly to the removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, produced by industrialised nations and a major source of global warming.

Research shows that latex balloons which are completely natural coming from the Hevea tree degrade faster than oak leaves. Oxidation occurs first in the breakdown of latex and it begins within 60 minutes of a balloon being inflated. As the decaying process is by natural exposure nutrients are released into the soil. Most balloons used in releases today are made of bio-degradable latex.

An estimated 90/95% of balloons released rise to an altitude of 5 miles, at which height the cold will cause the balloon to become brittle and shatter into miniscule pieces. The small fragments then floating back to earth to degrade in the ground. Balloon fragments are unlikely to cause harm if accidentally ingested. This is because latex and the dyes used in latex colouring are non-toxic.

Printed latex balloons are a fantastic, low-cost and environmentally friendly way of advertising at promotions and events. All latex balloons supplied by B-Loony, the UK’s largest printed balloon manufacturer, are completely biodegradable. The code of conduct produced by NABAS for balloon releases gives advice to ensure the protection of our environment.

Manufacture of Balloons

Balloons are manufactured by their millions every day in many countries. The rubber is collected as liquid from a rubber tree and then sent to the factories where the liquid goes through a series of treatment processes. These processes include shaping and colouring operations and testing for quality. The outcomes are thousands balloons which provide a splash of colour and party atmosphere at celebrations and conferences or any event where a large number of people gather.

Conclusion

Toy balloons have been a source of pleasure and excitement throughout the world for many years. They have provided hours of entertainment and interest for children as well as being an educational resource. Non toy Balloons are being used for science, medicine and travel and are invaluable in helping us to learn about our world. Balloons I am sure will remain very alive and active on the world’s scene for many years to come.

How to get a cheap car insurance

Searching for an inexpensive automobile insurance may be a hard process, but you don’t need to get desperated because things can be done much easier just by following basic guidelines and implementing common tips and strategies. In order to obtain an auto insurance policy that is inexpensive, you should request online quotes from 8-10 auto insurance companies. You then have to compare rates; to take a look at the terms and conditions outlined on the fine print; and make some calls and ask for some explanations about your doubts. Once you complete the due diligence exercise, you can easily choose the most affordable automobile insurance policy.

To be sure that you purchase a good auto insurance policy, you may want to calculate the factor for the average miles you drive each year. The car insurance premium will be high if you register more miles and relatively lower if you drive less. For example, if you register 10,000 miles, you will have to pay a more expensive premium in comparison to what you might have to pay for driving 4000 miles a year. The logic that insurance enterprises use is that the more time you spend on the road, the more risks you attract. This in turn necessitates a higher premium for your car insurance. To obtain the cheapest auto insurance you have to go to several sites and enter some personal data (mainly the zip code) before choosing the right one.

Your credit history and your past driving record are other important factors that decide whether or not you are eligible for a cheap automobile insurance. In the past, if you’ve been booked for speeding or if you have been found guilty of violating other traffic rules, it will become difficult for you to get a low cost automobile insurance policy. On the other hand, if you seem to be a careful driver and have a positive driving record, you are likely to be offered the most affordable auto insurance premium prices. Most automobile insurance enterprises will consider you a great investment and will offer you the lowest possible rates.

To purchase a right auto insurance, you may also want to consider merging all your automobile insurance policies into a single policy. For example, if you have two autos and two different policies for each one of them, you can call up your insurer and request for a single car insurance policy. When you do it so, your agent will get one more client and you in turn will be rewarded in the form of low insurance premium prices. You can also club your auto insurance policy with your home insurance policy. Here also, you will be generating more money for your insurer who will be more obligated to quote you lower premium rates for your auto insurance policy.

How We Met Bobby Boop Chapter 1

The following is a journal my wife kept when we first met our number four cat Bobby Boop. You can find out more at our blog Cat Behaviour Maven

Chapter 1

On Friday morning, October 27, 2000, I thought I heard a bird in the backyard; sound was
a bit odd, but we do get wonderful and strange sounding birds. Also heard the bird for the short time that we were home Saturday. Woke up very early Sunday morning, fed the cats, cleaned their box, made a pot of coffee and brought in the newspaper. Read the funnies and a terrific article in one of the magazines. Bird still there, odd I thought, so clad in my nightgown and light jacket, I went into the backyard to find the bird. Thought it might be injured and was not sure what or how I would care for it, but anyway, tracked the noise to the pool equipment area and climbed around in there (not easy) and found, on top of a pile of wet leaves, a kitten.

By then Ira woke up. He said the mother cat would be around for the creature, so we put it in a box and tried to keep it warm and out of the drizzle. Four hours later Ira decided that even if the mother did return, what chance did the creature have outside. Besides, we think creature had been there for several days (I am sure Mom was around). Ira went to the pet store and bought kitten formula and bottles. The kitten now lives in a large box in our bathroom where it is warm. While Ira was at the pet store I downloaded instructions on the care of orphaned kittens. Have not seen Mom, whoever she may be.

I took the creature to the vet on Monday, October 30. He is about 10 to 14 days old and has a bit of a cold. Doctor did not want to give him mediation, but creature sneezed one time too many, so we have amoxicillan – 3 drops every 12 hours. Creature goes back in 2 weeks. In the meantime, I mix up kitty formula, bottle feed it, burp it and potty it. All the while, of course, mindful that it could have feline leukemia. (Feline leukemia is similar to Aids in humans. It is highly contagious to cats and there is no cure.)

Our three cats did not get their feline leukemia booster shots this year because the current thinking on the subject is that the boosters could cause skin cancer. Not often, but with indoor cats, why chance it. So after I brought the creature home I loaded our 3 cats in carriers and took them for their boosters since the Doctor said it would be a very good idea to get this done ASAP.

Anyway, creature’s name is Bobby Boop. He still has several challenges ahead of him. He
has to survive the trauma of kittenhood, he has to get over the cold and hopefully he will test clean for feline leukemia. Please say a prayer for him. He cannot be tested until he is at least 6 weeks old.

For the next month I have to keep him isolated and use plenty of disinfectant, etc. We pray for Bobby Boop. Oh yes, he is not exactly black, but almost black and you can see tiger stripes of gold-orange down his back and just a touch of white under his chin.

We are going to Las Vegas from December 1 to 5 and I have to find a home for him for those 5 days. He cannot be boarded because he has not had shots, etc. and he needs special care because he is so young. He will be old enough to be tested for feline leukemia when we return; we hope he will test clean so we can add this creature to our family. He weighed 8 ounces when I found him.

Natural Eczema Cures

If your skin does not receive all of the nutrition that it needs in order to function properly, then it can become subject to diseases, such as (not surprisingly) eczema. They merely provide temporary relief and nothing more. They don’t actually solve the problem. They mask the problem. Your body’s natural ability to grow, regenerate, and heal skin. If you eat the proper diet for eczema, you are effectively reinforcing your body’s natural healing and regeneration capabilities.

Occasionally it can even be fatal because certain types of eczema are triggered by colostrum, one of the key ingredients of breast milk. This can be invaluable for finding the right remedy, the simple fact is that the same treatment that has worked for your father or mother could also help your child get rid of eczema. If people could simply cure eczema with cheap home treatments who would then buy their expensive OTC medications?

Eczema is a broad term used for a group of skin infections which are mostly seen in the younger age group. If you are able to find out the allergen or pollutant factor that causes eczema then half of the treatment is done. Even if you aren’t sure of what triggers the symptoms of eczema and results in the skin reddening, getting blisters, having patches and sometimes blisters, there are still steps you can take with an eczema treatment to minimize the troublesome skin condition. It can be treated both naturally and conventionally. The modes of treatment depend upon the severity and the stage of the disease.

You may notice scales, redness, flaking and excessive dryness. Some of these items are available over the counter but your physician or pediatrician may have you mix together or alternate the fungal cream and hydrocortisone. If you notice a crust on the scalp that has yellow coloring and a crust-like quality it can be cradle cap, this is common for eczema in kids. Be sure to speak to your physician if you want to use your own treatments so that you get a proper diagnosis.
